What is Paramedical Tattoo?

STRETCHMARK CAMOUFLAGE

Stretchmark camouflage is tattooing of the skin with different colors of flesh tone pigments. Its purpose is to disguise a scar or skin area that is missing pigment or color. Inkless scar and stretchmark is a form of micro needling that smooths, softens and fades the scarred skin.

Stretchmarks commonly occur during growth or pregnancy and almost everyone has them. Some appear lighter or darker than the regular skin and some have a more red or purple hue.

We will access your unique needs to determine the best approach to camouflaging your stretchmarks.

SCAR & BURN CAMOUFLAGE

Using microneedling and micropigmentation, we can camouflage the the irregularities of the skin caused by scars and burns, Whether is is due to surgery, injury, acne or skin grafts, we can develop a plan to cover them up and allow you to regain your confidence.

Radiation marker cover-up is a FREE service. Please call or message us directly to book.

SMP

Scalp Micropigmentation, or SMP as it is commonly known, is a highly specialized process where tiny deposits of pigment are positioned within the dermal layer of the skin. When applied by a skilled technician, these deposits replicate the look of real shaven hair.

AREOLA RESTORATION

Areola restoration or better known as an areola tattoo is a type of paramedical tattooing. Areola tattooing is a technique used to help clients achieve a natural looking breast area.

Bellybutton

For those who have undergone a tummy tuck, hernia repair, and other similar abdominal surgeries that affect the belly button—or sometimes render it obsolete all together—this can be an area of serious focus. And just like areola tattoos offer an incredibly effective and realistic option for guests after a mastectomy, so too do tattooed belly buttons make a great solution for those who feel self-conscious about the look of their stomach.

FAQ

Cream Abstract Brush Stroke

Scars due to acne, cuts, surgical incisions and burns are treated using a rotary machine device where pigment is deposited using microneedles. The treatment results in a seamless transition between your natural skin tone and where the either pink or very light scar is. It is a similar feeling to tattooing, so for your comfort a numbing cream is applied before treatment begins.

Scar Camouflage works best on light scars that are not raised. Raised scars may need a few microneedling treatments first to soften and flatten the scar before the actual camouflage portion of the treatment may begin.

All scars must be healed before treatment can begin.

Stretch marks are treated using the same technique as the stretch marks resemble thin scars a times.

Cream Abstract Brush Stroke

You can expect pain and redness and a darker pigmentation to the area. The pain and redness will reduce slowly over the following days, but it can take weeks before the pigment lightens. It will likely need between 2-4 treatments to get the best match of pigment to your natural skin tone.

Scar Camouflage is used to effectively diminish the appearance of both scars and stretch marks. Micro-needling may be used to first to enhance treatment for raised (hypertrophic) scars. Raised scars form most often at the sites of pimples, body piercings, cuts, surgical incisions and burns.

As a healing response to the microneedling, your own growth factors are regenerated which stimulate the production of collagen and elastin which softens and smooths scars that may be raised, while the addition of pigmentation that is matched to your skin tone evens the difference in colour between your natural skin tone and the color of the healed scar.

CARE REQUIREMENTS

  • Use a thin layer of ointment provided twice a day for the first 5 days

  • Pigment will fade 20%-40% while healing. It will take 4-6 weeks to fully heal.
